Our commitment to safer gambling

At Bearo, we believe gambling should be an enjoyable form of entertainment - never a source of financial hardship or harm. We take our responsibility as a licensed gaming operator seriously. All of the tools described on this page are available free of charge to every Bearo player and can be activated immediately without speaking to a support agent.

Gambling is not a way to make money. Outcomes are random and the house edge means that over time most players will lose more than they win. If gambling stops being enjoyable, or if you find yourself spending more than you intended, please use the tools below or contact an independent support organisation.

Account tools - stay in control

All responsible gambling tools are accessible via Account Settings → Safer Betting. Changes take effect as described below.

Deposit Limits

Set a daily, weekly or monthly deposit cap. You can set any combination of all three simultaneously. Reductions apply immediately. Increases require a 24-hour cooling-off period before they take effect - this prevents impulsive limit increases during a session.

Loss Limits

Cap the total amount you can lose over a defined period. When the limit is reached, further bet placement is suspended until the period resets. Loss limits help players who find themselves chasing losses by removing the ability to continue.

Wager Limits

Set a maximum total you can wager (not lose) over a daily, weekly or monthly period. Once reached, the account is suspended for bet placement until the period resets. Useful for players who track activity by total wagered rather than net result.

Session Time Reminders

Set a reminder that appears after a specified period of continuous play - for example, 30 minutes or 1 hour. The reminder informs you how long you have been playing and invites you to take a break. It is a soft prompt; you can choose to continue.

Reality Checks

Periodic on-screen notifications that display your session duration and net session result. Reality checks help maintain awareness of time and money spent during longer sessions. Frequency is configurable in your account settings.

Time-Out

A time-out temporarily closes your account for a period you choose: 24 hours, 48 hours, 1 week, 2 weeks or 6 weeks. During a time-out, you cannot log in, deposit or place bets. Your balance is preserved. The time-out cannot be ended early.

Self-Exclusion

Self-exclusion closes your account and prevents re-registration for a period you choose: 6 months, 1 year or 5 years. Once applied, the exclusion cannot be reversed before the chosen period expires. This is a serious step and is processed immediately on request. If you are concerned about your gambling, self-exclusion is a meaningful protection.

Signs that gambling may be causing harm

  • Chasing losses - continuing to gamble to try to recover money already lost
  • Gambling with money for essentials - using funds for rent, food, bills or debt repayment to gamble
  • Hiding gambling activity - being secretive about time or money spent gambling
  • Borrowing to fund gambling - using credit or money owed to others to continue playing
  • Neglecting responsibilities - missing work or family commitments because of gambling
  • Gambling as an emotional escape - using gambling to manage stress, anxiety, depression or boredom
  • Repeated failed attempts to stop - wanting to cut back but being unable to do so

If any of these patterns are familiar, our safer betting tools and the independent organisations above can help. Reaching out early is always the right move.

Underage gambling policy

Bearo is strictly for players aged 18 and over. We verify player age during registration and may request additional age verification documentation at any time. If you believe a minor has accessed our platform, contact us immediately at [email protected]. We use industry-standard age verification tools and take underage access seriously.
